up Christmas lights, it is even harder and time consuming taking them down.
However after our tips, packing up and storing your decorations won’t seem that
much of a burden anymore.
- Firstly purchase large boxes or tubs, and then assign each box to separate places, e.g. the box for your living room will contain decorations for that room only, where as other boxes will contain decoration for other rooms. This way you’ll stay organized and it’ll be easier to decorate next year.
- For your fragile and brittle ornaments, be sure to use their original packaging for storing. But if you don’t have them, use bubble wrap instead to keep them safe.
- Keep a separate bag for each strand of Christmas light so that they do not tangle up with each other.
- Use extension wires rather than extra strands of lights, and incredibly long ones, because that way you won’t risk damaging your Christmas lights when packing them.
- If you’re using a real tree, with hopes to use it again, then make sure it’spotted from the start, and place pot on top of a base with wheels, that way it’ll be easier to simply push the tree outside once it’s used.
